The Kent Hockey Management Committee are sad to report the passing of Peter Borer on 9th February 2020.
Peter initially was a player with Aylesford Paper Mills (now K Sports (Cobdown) HC), but in the 1980s gave up his stick and took up the whistle.
Peter joined KCHUA in 1983. He held the post of Appointments Secretary, and was a member of the KWHA approved umpire list which went on to become KWHUA. He umpired both men’s and women’s outdoor and indoor, league and friendly games. Plus he umpired regularly at tournaments such as the Thanet Festival and Islanders Festival.
Peter leaves his wife of 43 years, Wendy, who as well as being a player, also held positions on the KWHA management committee.
