Following discussions at the KHA AGM earlier this month, it was agreed to continue all Kent Cup competitions.
We’re seeking views on how the Men’s Kent Cup could run during the 2021/22 season (we’ll do the same for other competitions in the coming weeks).
Historically, the most senior team in the South League was automatically entered into the Kent Cup – therefore National League teams entered their second team. The draw was made at the start of the season, with the draw fixed to show progress throughout the competition.
This also meant some Kent clubs weren’t included in the cup.
Is this the best approach?
Should we include more Kent teams in the cup, i.e., those who would have had their 1st teams in the former Kent League?
Could there be two tiers of competition?
We ask that an appropriate representative from all Kent Men’s clubs send feedback by Sunday 29th August. This will allow us to create an appropriate competition before the season starts.
