1. Dress – Umpires Colours: KHUA Appointed Members 1st Colour: Green; 2nd Colour: Cerise; General Member Colour: Orange. All to be worn with either black or grey trousers or skirt.
2. Umpire Gradings:
National – Awarded by England Hockey
Territorial – Awarded by ERHUA or SCHUA
3. Use of Gradings for Ladies’ League Matches:
Kent Grade 1 – Competent to umpire in East League, other appointments and County U21
Kent Grade 2 – Competent to umpire regularly in Kent Premier League and Junior County Matches.
Kent Grade 3 – Umpires holding Level 1 and competent to umpire in the Kent League Pool
Member – Umpires in training but not yet qualified, interested parties (never qualified), inactive umpires whose qualifications have lapsed.
To progress from Grade 3 to 2, Umpires should normally umpire:
(i) Junior County games, one of which must be the U18 A team or the U21 team.
(ii) Umpire regularly in the Kent Premier Division and be watched. To obtain Junior games, contact either of the Junior Reps. at the beginning of the season.
Umpires may request, or be selected, for further assessment, coaching and re-grading as deemed appropriate by the respective Development Officers.

Disciplinary Rules
The current England Hockey Regulations for the enforcement of discipline apply. Should a Red Card be shown during a match, or an offence taking place requiring a Matchday Misconduct Report, a report form MUST be completed and sent for All Games to the – County Discipline Officer (Alan Sargent 01322 293266 | 07703 491586).
