JDC

The County Junior Programme is supported by the EHB, Kent Sports and kindly sponsored by Standard Chartered. The County Coaches and team kit is supplied by Xstream clothing from Medway.

As of April 2011 it has been agreed by Kent, the EAST Region and SOUTH Region that the Junior girls (U13 to U17) will compete in the South Region, previously they had been separated from the Boys and played in the East Region. This results in refined logistics for the running of the single system and its support staff (Clubs, Schools, Parents, Coaches and administration!)

All coaches and volunteers are advised to attend safeguarding courses. This is mandatory for all welfare officers operating at JDC’s and JAC’s.

The KHA takes player safety seriously. All coaches are subject to certification from the EHB, a criminal bureau check, continual monitoring of standards and regularly offered retraining or update opportunities.

Each centre has an appointed welfare officer. Please ask the Centre manager who that is if you wish to speak regarding participant safety and welfare.
