GIRLS’ ASSESSMENT DAYS
FOR THE SEASON 2009 – 2010

For players playing for a Kent Club or School or living in Kent

U-17 Squad – years of birth 1993 and 1994
U-15 Squad - year of birth 1995

Any under 12/13 or 14 players will be assessed through the junior development centres- contact Cathy Gilliat- Smith for details(07789 401805).

For players who DID NOT  play in the County squads last season (2008-9) the first assessment date is Sunday 17th May at Maidstone Hockey Club (directions on Club website)
- U17 – 10.00AM- NOON
- U15 - 12.30 – 2.30PM.

PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINS BEFORE THE START TIME OF YOUR ASSESSMENT.

 For those selected from above date and present squad (season 2008/9) –

U17 – MONDAY 1ST JUNE – MEET 6.00PM – 8.00PM
U15 – MONDAY 8TH JUNE – MEET 6.00PM – 8.00PM

Both of these sessions will also be at Maidstone Hockey Club.
  

1.  Please endure that the attached form arrives with Kent Hockey by Tuesday 12th May, 2009 by 3.30 p.m. at the latest.  NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

2. Please ensure you enclose a cheque (made payable to KHA) for £10.00

3. Applications will not be acknowledged unless you enclose a stamped self addressed envelope.

4. If you are a squad member, this season you should not attend in Kent kit.  School kit, Club kit or white shirt and socks are acceptable.

5. Please remember there is no automatic reselection – ask your county coach for advice if necessary.

6. The squad will be announced after the assessment.

7. There is a cost and time commitment to playing for Kent Hockey. We train at least monthly on a Monday evening 6.30 – 8.30 p.m., kit is required and players are expected to make their own way to fixtures (anywhere from Southampton to Norwich).  There may be some financial support available to families who find this a problem, by applying to the Treasurer at the end of the season.  Only players who attend training except in exceptional circumstances are considered available for selection.

8. Photographs for the forms to be returned are not required until selection into the squad (and by only new players to the squad).

9. Please arrive at the assessment session 15 minutes before the start time for registration.

PLEASE COMPLETE THE FORM CAREFULLY – ENSURE YOU FILL IN ALL SECTIONS PARTICULARLY DATE OF BIRTH AND FAVOURED POSITION.
